I’m honestly not stalking Louis Vuitton – though I am a proud owner of a few seriously old LV products, heading towards heirloom status, given their age!! – but this is my second Louis Vuitton pop up in the past 4 months.
When we were visiting the children in Shanghai in November, we went to the amazing LV ship pop up, which I reviewed here.
Now it’s the turn of Bangkok to host a month-long pop-up in the century-old Baan Trok Tua Ngork building in Chinatown, a lovely building which has been decorated to look like a hotel, complete with a reception.

We hadn’t booked online, but the charming youngsters on duty at the venue helped us out, showing me how to log in and smilingly ignoring the fact that I didn’t get an email confirmation.
Young people here are so sweet and helpful.

In the end we waited about 10 minutes, tops, watching all the glamorous gals in front of us posing like crazy with the cute LV rickshaw parked on the street.
I capitulated and posed, too, despite not having a Louis Vuitton handbag + shoes + baseball cap as one young thing had…

The exhibition itself is small, so doesn’t take too long to visit, though if you factor in champagne in the champagne bar + the inevitable selfies + perhaps some retail therapy, it all adds up! (sadly, we didn’t partake in the champagne, but I did pose, rather gauche-ly, with one of my own LVs, a “monogramme” purse from the year dot.

Hey! This pop up is to mark the 130th birthday of the monogramme design, so don’t judge me too harshly!
Now let me share with you some of the other “monogrammes” we saw:

This amazing travel trunk even had specially made LV coat hangars.
Well, it would, wouldn’t it?

A cleverly done French balcony (above).

Above, yours truly photobombing with an LV purse which is at least 45 years old. Possibly older.
So actually, why not flaunt it?!!

The building is lovely, and on a baking hot day was cool and calm inside, doubtless due to the weather-appropriate architecture.

This morning I cancelled my zoom class with my trainer back in Delhi, and was then made to feel doubly guilty when I saw this wee LV kitted-out gym!

LV punchbags.
And why ever not, if you have that kind of money?!
Not being greedy or covetous or anything, but if only I could trade the barbell weights in my little home gym for these LV bags, suitably weighted, now that would be something!
Total fashion statement, right?

And here are the weights…

This is our second LV event here in Bangkok, and both were equally enjoyable, stress-free events…with great people-watching!
I’m sharing a link to the earlier event we went to, in late 2024.
So yes, to summarise this LV pop-up:
It’s free.
You get to peek inside a gorgeous old home.
Lots of lovely Vuittons to admire.
If you’re here in Bangkok, and you haven’t yet been, do hurry and go visit, since the pop-up closes this coming weekend.
As usual, I didn’t tell anyone that I blog and review. So this comes straight from the heart. With just a slight degree of luxury good envy thrown in for good measure.
